A highlight in the north of Perth, Hillarys Boat Harbour is a popular spot for both locals and tourists to relax on the beach, take children to the playground, go shopping, and eat in its local restaurants. It only takes around 25-30 minutes from the Perth CBD to HIllarys Boat Harbour.
Hillarys is also home to AQWA – The Aquarium of Western Australia, the largest single aquarium in Australia. The aquarium itself specializes in marine animals that mostly lives in the coastline of Western Australia. In total AQWA has 400 species of marine life with 4000 fish. Besides its AQWA, we can head out on a whale-watching trip only between September and December that takes around 2-hour tour.
For those who bring children, I can recommend you to take them to the Great Escape Amusement Park where the children can enjoy water slides and giant trampolines. And if you are looking for a place to eat, Hillarys offers plenty of good café and restaurants along the Sorrento Quay with a wanderlust ocean view.
A perfect time to visit Hillarys Boat Harbour is around 4-6 pm because the sun is not too bright and such a great time to take photos.
